An elephant in the city - Rethinking the future from biodiversity
Biodiversity is in danger. Land consumption, waste, ecosystem crisis call for urgent change.
From Friday, May 9, Palazzo Ducale in Genoa opens its doors to a month of meetings for a more sustainable future and a big elephant.
In the atrium arrives "The Elephant of Biodiversity," a monumental installation based on an idea by Almo Nature and created by artist Andrea Morini: four meters tall, six meters long, covered in a cotton skin that represents the enormous amount of waste invading our planet. A powerful symbol representing biodiversity suffering from the impact human activities have on it, it invites us to rethink production models and embrace a regenerative economy.
The initiative is curated by Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la Cultura and Almo Nature - Fondazione Capellino, in collaboration with ASviS.
