Villa
Fortuna
Villa Fortuna is the registered office of Fondazione Capellino, where its values are put into practice through three projects: the cultivation of biodiverse, organic crops on the estate’s land, the renovation of the site’s original buildings using sustainable construction methods, and the establishment of the International School of Biodiversity.

RVF - Experimental Agricultural Society
Wholly owned by Fondazione Capellino, this project focuses on restoring agricultural land that was previously used for intensive farming. The area now includes forest, a permanent meadow covering 15 hectares, an agroforestry orchard certified organic over 3.5 hectares, and an organic vineyard, also 3.5 hectares, used for research in collaboration with CREA.
Alongside its organic production, the project carries out research and experimentation aimed at maximising the integration of biodiversity within the agricultural system and developing approaches that support this model.
Conservation of the Built heritage
Work on the buildings follows principles of bio architecture and energy autonomy, without occupying additional land.
The complex, consisting of a villa and a historic farmhouse protected by the heritage authority, together with two additional farmhouses and an accommodation facility, is being restored according to principles of faithful conservation and improved performance. The project involves the use of materials compatible with the original structures, structural reinforcement, and the installation of thermal insulation systems using natural materials such as clay to reduce energy loss.
Work is currently underway and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
School of Biodiversity
The school will be located within the historic villa, although courses will begin a year earlier, in 2027, at a temporary site.
