REcommunity

A space to inform, share and engage

The REcommunity is open to everyone, yet it is also the community of its founders: Almo Nature and the Capellino Foundation.

It is founded on the insight that life is an indivisible whole and that human activities—when pursued without limits, as is currently the case—have a negative impact on it. Hence the importance of placing life—that is, biodiversity—at the heart of human decision-making and initiating a process of progressively returning profits generated through the extraction or destruction of biodiversity back to biodiversity itself (an economy that replenishes what it extracts); this is precisely what happens every day at Almo Nature, which is 100% owned by the Capellino Foundation.

This is the Reintegration Economy, and the REcommunity is the home for all those who share its values.

The REcommunity is open to everyone, yet it is also the community of its founders, Almo Nature and the Capellino Foundation.

It is based on the belief that life is a single, indivisible whole, and that human activities, when carried out without restraint – as is the case today – have a negative impact on it.

Why dogs should have wet food too

Why dogs should have wet food too

Have you ever noticed how quickly your dog reacts when you open a can of wet food? That's because dogs experience food very differently than we do. Guided largely by their sense of smell, they are naturally drawn to meals that offer rich aromas, appealing textures, and plenty of flavour. But wet food offers more than just an enjoyable eating experience. From increased moisture to greater variety, it can provide several benefits that support your dog's overall well-being.

How can you make your indoor cat's life more stimulating?

How can you make your indoor cat's life more stimulating?

Between meals, playtime, cosy naps and cuddles, life for an indoor cat can seem very comfortable. They are also protected from many of the dangers outdoor cats face, such as traffic, disease, predators and fights with other animals. But sometimes this safety comes at a cost. In the wild, cats spend their days hunting, patrolling their territory, climbing, observing, sniffing, listening and making countless decisions. Their minds are naturally geared towards exploring and solving problems. This is often what cats living entirely indoors can miss. The good news is that a few simple changes can make your cat's environment more enriching, without turning your home into a jungle.

Why dogs love sniffing so much

Why dogs love sniffing so much

You put your shoes on, grab the leash, and head outside expecting a simple walk around the block. Meanwhile, your dog stops every few steps to sniff a tree, a patch of grass, or a random spot on the sidewalk that seems completely unimportant to you.

Complete vs complementary cat food: what’s the difference?

Complete vs complementary cat food: what’s the difference?

You may have already noticed this label on some cat foods: “complementary food.” And like many people, you may have wondered: “Does this mean this food isn’t really good for my cat? Should I still be feeding it?” Today, the word “complete” is often associated with something better, more balanced, or more nutritious in people’s minds. Some may even assume that a product is somehow “less good” simply because it is labeled as complementary. But the reality is quite different! Here’s what it really means. What does “complementary food” actually mean? Complete foods are formulated to meet all of a cat’s nutritional needs at every meal. To achieve this, vitamins and minerals are added to the recipe so the food is nutritionally balanced on its own. Complementary foods work differently. They do not contain these added supplements, but instead focus on ingredients that, on their own in a single meal, do not provide every essential nutrient a cat needs. In reality, it’s very similar to how we approach our own diets.

Nature never ceases to amaze us

Nature never ceases to amaze us

Right now, somewhere in the ocean, a male is giving birth. It is the male seahorse that carries the pregnancy. He nurtures the developing embryos in a specialised pouch and eventually gives birth to them, while the female is already producing a new batch of eggs. Does that sound strange? Not really.

The community

Joining the REcommunity means becoming part of a network of people who share a simple belief: life is one connected whole and should be at the centre of the decisions we make.

This is not a place for passive observers. It is a space where people can exchange ideas, explore complex topics, support practical initiatives, and take part in a cultural shift that places biodiversity at the heart of both the economy and society.

The REcommunity is open to anyone who wants to learn, get involved, and contribute in a thoughtful and responsible way.

It's a place for those who believe that giving back to life what has been taken from it is not optional, but a responsibility.
